The Chicago Dogs, a member of the American Association, play at Impact Field. The stadium, seating 6,300, opened in May 2018. The Dogs were playing the Sioux Falls Canaries and lost 5-2. The box score was Canaries R-5, H-12, E-0, Dogs R-2, H-8, E-1. The field lines are RF-294', CF-390', LF-312'. The game was scheduled for 3pm, but a front was moving through the area that caused flash flood warnings. The game was rescheduled for 5pm and rescheduled again for 7pm when it finally started. The seats were wet, so we had to get towels from the restroom to dry ours off. There is a turf field with dirt infield and warning track. In left field at field level is a viewing area. Squeeze (mustard) is the primary mascot and Catsup is the secondary mascot. Rally Pickle runs through the stadium for obvious reasons. The crowd was small probably because of the five hour rain delay. One mid-inning activity was two women in big balls trying to knock each other over 2 out of 3 tries. Another, Lucky Dog, was to release a coin and the person won the amount of money that it dropped into at the bottom-3 tries. The 100 was moving across the board and if it was hit you won $100. The field sits between runways 090 Left and 090 Right of O'Hare International. Because of the rain storm planes were backed up. We saw many take-offs during the first 90 minutes of the game. At the end of the game the moon showed between the remaining clouds.
