This monument honoring Lewis and Clark sits atop a bluff north of Council Bluffs. (Council Bluff was the name given to the area at the Indian council near today's Fort Atkinson State Historical Park in Nebraska). The monument offers vistas of the Council bluffs/Omaha metro area and the Missouri River valley.
