The Texas Rangers, an American League team, play at Globe Life Park in Arlington. It opened in 1994 and seats 48,114. The Rangers were playing the Seattle Mariners losing 7-3. The box score was Mariners R-7, H-11, E-0, LOB-7 and Rangers R-3, H-4, E-1, LOB-6. There are two suite levels. There are 40 rows on the 100 level with the last 12 under the upper overhang. Going to a day game with the sun out will have you in the sun for most of the game in most areas of the ballpark. I had Club level seats on the 3rd base side and did not sit in my seat. Instead I sat under the overhang, shown in row 5, photo 2. The right field grand stand seemed to have shade if you sat at least 6 rows back and toward centerfield. They have two large video boards above right and left fields showing the same information. In left field the board shows a scorebook line beneath the current batter, line 3, photo 5. There is an out of town scoreboard at field level in left field. The young women sitting to the right in the batter's eye in center field run around with Texas flags when the Rangers score a run. There is a dot race between innings. Today the mini dots ran, they have some larger ones as well. The mascot's name is Captain. Chick Fil A advertising on the foul poles. They are keeping track of Adian Beltre's life time hits. There was a family sitting in the section below the sign that put up a new number when he got a hit.
