Leaving the hot central valley we drove to Oakland and 70 degrees. Driving over the foothills on I-280 we passed several hundred electricity generating windmills. Our motel was close enough to Network Associates Coliseum that we walked to the game. We had to add several layers of warmth for this game. We were glad we did as the tickets we were able to buy were on the 300 level in left field where it was breezy and downright cold after the sun went down. Our view was down the third base line towards home plate. We were quietly supporting the Minnesota Twins who beat the Athletics 2-1. We had to be quiet as we were surrounded by a sea of green and yellow. Stomper is the name of the elephant who is the A's mascot. This stadium is shared with the Oakland Raiders NFL team. 2012 Oakland County Coliseum
