The Tampa Yankees, a Single A affiliate of the New York Yankees, play at Legends Field. Legends Field is the spring training facility for the New York Yankees. The stadium was built in 1996 and has a seating capacity of 10,200. I would estimate that there were less than 200 fans in attendance tonight. Tonight was a Field of Dreams experience for the Town & Country Twins, a little league T-ball team. The little league players got to go on the field with the Yankees players for the national anthem. Then several of them participated in between inning activities. One picture shows them on the field and another one shows them in their seats with the adult coaches. This is a championship team who had 14 wins and no losses this year and are 28-0 over the past two years. The Tampa Yankees played the Clearwater Phillies. Another good game with the Yankees winning 5-1. The box score was Clearwater R-1, H-5, E-2 and Tampa R-5, H-6, E-1. The field lines are RF-314, CF-408, LF-318. Turk Wendell, pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies was on a rehab assignment and pitched the first two innings. When I was out getting food prices Andrea was ducking from a foul tip. We were sitting in the third row right behind the first base dugout. Thursday is Thirsty Thursday with $1 beer and soda. Every home game $1 general admission with donation of canned food item.
